Spend the day filling your foraging basket with spring greens, making new relationships with wild herbs, and creating a delicious wild foraged pesto sauce.
We will meet at the foraging location on BLM land, and then return to a home kitchen to craft our wild pesto. Light snacks will be provided to pair with tasting of pesto.
Please note this is a 2 part workshop, that requires a 10 minute drive between the foraging location & pesto making location.
We will initially start foraging at a location with no facilities, but will return to a home with water & a restroom.
Parking at BLM meeting place is very limited, please consider carpooling if coming in a group.
Workshop will proceed in light rain.
*If weather is predicted to be extreme, the class will be rescheduled to a different date. You will have the choice to attend the later date, or receive a refund.
Date: Sunday, March 1st
Time: 10am - 1pm
Foraging location - San Andreas 10am-11:30am.
Pesto making location - Mokelumne Hill 11:30am-1pm
